- Hello,
-
- I need some help. I have a USR internal sportster 288/336 ( I just put
- the upgrade chip in about a month ago) I am running Win3.1 and have
- procomm 2.0+ and winfax 3.0. Until I replaced the eprom, I was able to
- fax with Winfax -- after I set my modem to class one in winfax. I
- didn't really use procomm much for faxing so I can't say if it was
- working properly, or not. But recently, when I try to fax from
- winfax, I connect, the modem negotiates, the fax seems to go through
- (phone calls to the recipient indicate that they are getting through)
- but during the final negotiation my modem hangs up -- drops carrier.
- Consequently the winfax send log reports the fax as unsent. When I try
- to send a fax through procomm, I get an immediate error message,
- something about "serial or file error"
-
- Anyone else have this problem?
-
- Any suggestions would be appreciated.
-
- Thanks,
